光子晶體與拓撲光子學專刊

Photonic Crystal and Topological Photonics

前言

光子晶體是一種周期性的介質微結構,正如同固體中晶格對電子的影響,光子晶體可以影響光子的傳輸態,具有在介觀尺度導引和操控光波的能力。最近,隨著拓撲絕緣體的發現,基于光子能帶結構拓撲性質的拓撲光子學及其應用的研究逐漸深入。為了推動拓撲光子學的研究和基于拓撲結構的光子器件的發展,北京大學的胡小永教授發起了本期光子晶體與拓撲光子學專刊,計劃于2020年第1期出版。

Photonics crystals, periodic dielectric microstructures that affect the propagation states of photons just like that ionic lattices affect electrons in solids, possesses the capability of guiding and manipulating light at the mesoscopic scale. More recently, along with the discovery of topological insulators, this field is benefited from applying the ideas of topology to photonic band structures. In order to promote research in the area of topological photonics and development of photonic devices based on topological features, Prof. Xiaoyong Hu (Peking University, China) are planning to produce a special issue on photonic crystal and topological photonics, expected to be published in the first issue of Frontiers of Optoelectronics in 2020.

本期專刊將重點關注基于具有拓撲特征的光子晶體的光子器件,內容覆蓋這類器件的物理、材料、結構和應用等方面,論題包括但不限于

This special issue will cover the most recent progress in physics, materials, structures, and applications of photonic devices based on photonic crystals with topological features. The topics include, but are not limited to:

•蜂巢晶格與狄拉克點 honeycomb lattices and Dirac points

•合成維度 synthetic dimensions

•非厄米拓撲光子學 non-Hermitian topological photonics

•旋磁光子晶體 gyromagnetic photonic crystals

•拓撲超材料 topological metamaterials

•光波的自旋-軌道耦合 spin-orbit coupling for light

•光隔離器和魯棒輸運 optical isolators and robust transport

•二維材料中的谷電子學 valleytronics in 2D materials

•量子拓撲光子學 quantum topological photonics,

The editors-in-chief are Academician Qihuang Gong from Peking University and Prof. Xinliang Zhang from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

FOE journal aims at introducing the most recent research results and the cutting edge improvements in the area of photonics and optoelectronics. It is dedicated to be an important information platform for rapid communication and exchange between researchers in the related areas. It is sponsored by Higher Education Press of China, Huazhong University of Science & Technology and the Chinese Optical Society, and organized by Wuhan National Lab for Optoelectronics.
